About MyBackTrack

Every musician who learns by ear knows this struggle: trying to make out your instrument's part while the rest of the band takes over the mix, or practicing a specific passage without being able to isolate just that one part.

That's why MyBackTrack exists — a tool to strip away what gets in the way and leave only what matters for practice. Isolate an instrument to train your ear, or remove it entirely to play the song along with the original track, using your own arrangement instead of copying the record note for note.

It's a small project, run by a musician who also codes, with no sponsor — just the tool, free for anyone to use.

Yes. The site strictly processes the audio files you upload directly. Your files remain completely private and confidential.

Audio upload as MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, AIFF, OGG, and Opus. Export as MP3, WAV 24-bit, FLAC, M4A, and Opus.

We use cutting-edge deep learning models (Demucs v4) to isolate vocals, drums, bass, and optionally guitar and piano (or vocals vs. instrumental in 2-stem mode).

When instruments heavily overlap in frequency, the neural network preserves dominant acoustic elements. For pristine results, always upload well-mixed, uncompressed audio.

No. Processed files expire and are automatically deleted from the server after the retention window, ensuring your privacy.

Neural stem separation requires significant server compute. The limit ensures fair queue times and high stability for all musicians.

The PIX key is shown in the footer on every page — just copy it and send any amount through a Brazilian bank app. PIX is Brazil's instant payment system.

Yes! The MyBackTrack ecosystem includes native Android (APK) and iOS applications, crafted specifically for live rehearsals with ultra-low latency PCM playback, Gap Click, A-B loop, and real-time pitch transpose.
